The Democratic Women’s Club of Flagler County proudly embraces Shirley Chisholm as our inspirational leader and a symbol of courage, perseverance, and public service for women everywhere. 

As the first African American woman elected to the United States Congress and the first woman to seek the presidential nomination of a major political party, Shirley Chisholm embodied the principles of equality, justice, and fearless leadership. Her connection to Palm Coast makes her legacy especially meaningful to our community. By celebrating her life and accomplishments each year, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering women, encouraging civic engagement, and advancing the values she championed throughout her remarkable career.

Each November, we honor her legacy during our annual Shirley Chisholm Celebration, recognizing her groundbreaking achievements and the path she forged for future generations of women leaders.Below are the program booklets from our previous events.  We began in 2022 and have continued through the present.
